Breaking NEws!!! Church in Jos rocked by explosion this morning

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) church in Tudunwa, Angwan yashi, near the Federal Secretariat in Jos, was rocked by explosions this morning. Details are still sketchy but witnesses say they expect high casualty as worshipers were at the church for the Sunday service when a bomb went off. Details later.

Former Governor of Jigawa State was shocked beyond words yesterday when a Federal High court sitting in Kano asked that the former Governor and his two sons who were accused of fraud be remanded in prison till the next court sitting which will come up on September 28 which will automatically make him spend two months and a half in prison without bail.

Rivers Government renames state polytechnic after Ken Saro Wiwa

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has renamed the Rivers state Polytechnic after late author and environmental rights activist, late Ken Saro-Wiwa. In a statement released yesterday July 9th and signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, Governor Wike said the school is being re-named after the late activist because of his achievements and legacies 

12 burnt beyond recognition in pipeline explosion in Bayelsa


12 oil workers were burnt beyond recognition after an oil pipeline belonging to Agip Oil exploded in Bayelsa state yesterday July 9th. According to reports, the oil workers were carrying out maintenance on the pipeline when the explosion occurred. Three others were seriously injured. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Multiple deaths following gunman drive-by shooting in Germany this morning

At least two people have been confirmed dead after an 18 year old gunman opened fire at passers-by from his car in Ansbach, southern Germany this morning. The first victim was an elderly woman, and the second was a man on a bicycle. Another pedestrian and a driver of another vehicle were shot at by the gunman, but he missed. Police say they expect more casualties.

Boko Haram members attack Buni Yadi, Yobe state

Boko Haram members launched fresh attacks on Buni Yadi community in Yobe state yesterday night July 9th at about 9pm. Residents of the community say members of the terror group came in a convoy of nine hilux buses and started shooting indiscriminately. No. of casualties has not been ascertained

But meeting her at a building site would startlingly reveal the other side of her! This woman is a professional painter, tiler, and plumber! Thousands of foreign supporters of Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua have taken to Facebook to express their dismay and disgust at the controversial verdict released by the Lagos coroner's court which ruled the fatal collapse of a building at the cleric's church last year was due to structural defaults. 

Buhari rejects N400m armoured cars

President Muhammadu Buhari has turned down an offer by the Federal Government to buy 5 new armoured Mercedes Benz S-600 (V222) cars for his use. The cars which cost is about N400m were planned to be purchased by the State House.

Man is stabbed to death during a robbery

A security man, identified as Wasiu Okanlawon, has been stabbed to death by armed robbers in the Ile Zik, Ikeja area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Wasiu, who was attacked last Friday at about 9pm, was killed while he and a female colleague were returning home from work. It was gathered that Okanlawon and the colleague, whose name had yet to be ascertained, were going in a commercial bus, when the bus had a flat tyre.

Outrage as Mom's newborn son is taken from her and given to adoptive parent

A new mom has spoken of her horror after her baby son was taken from her home by officials and given to an adoptive mother - despite the fact she had changed her mind before the infant's birth.
Kimberly Rossler, 25, from Mobile, Alabama, decided to contact a local adoption agency after discovering she was pregnant with her 'on-off' boyfriend Greg's baby in October last year.
